[January 12, 2010]

Yusen Air & Sea Service Co., Ltd. (President: Shunichi Yano) is pleased to announce that the next-generation core operating system "YUNAS" (Yusen Navigation System), which YAS has been developing with the aim of a global rollout, has gone live at Yusen Air & Sea Service (Singapore) PTE. LTD. in January 2010.

Currently at YAS, Japan and other regions are using different core operating systems. YAS has been developing the next-generation core operating system YUNAS, which drew on the concept of one global system for the entire global network of the YAS Group.

The commencement of YUNASf operations in Singapore is the systemfs second introduction following the pilot introduction in Australia in July 2009. This represents the first step in the global rollout YAS has been pursuing. To meet growing customer needs and actively take the initiative to streamline logistics and offer higher quality services, YAS will introduce YUNAS to Asia, Europe and Japan, aiming to operate the system across YAS Group companies worldwide by the end of FY2011.

*Basic Concept

@1) Build a system to integrate and manage a variety of information residing in the YAS Group with one database.

@2) Have an open system configuration to reduce the operation & maintenance costs.

@3) Build a multifunctional, comprehensive logistics system which covers all aspects of the business of land, sea and air.

@4) Enhance risk management with redundant equipment configuration and networks to enable responses to disaster.
