Today, the overriding concern in global distribution is credibility, which is established through compliance, stronger security during transport, and quality assurance. Yusen Air & Sea Service has taken various actions to increase credibility, such as boosting the level of security by acquiring TAPA certification(*1) and improving quality by standardizing procedures based on ISO 9001(*2) and Cargo 2000(*3). We also periodically review improvement measures and introduce new ones.
- *1 TAPA Certification: TAPA (Transported Asset Protection Association), a nonprofit organization, certifies businesses that meet standards for accident prevention such as loss and theft during storage and transportation.
- *2 ISO 9001:This is an international certification for quality management practices, which also lead to improved customer satisfaction.
- *3 Cargo 2000:An organization hosted by the IATA (International Air Transport Association) for deliberating improvements in freight transportation services, simplifying transportation procedures, and reducing costs.
